The unique focus of Social Search is the PURL landing page – or social microsite. It offers the ability to:

  • Engage prospective students by sending them to a landing page that they help design, and that’s based on their interests.
  • Differentiate yourself from your competition by  telling stories that only you can tell.  Feature your current students and their profiles, stories and blogs.
  • Speak to students in their language. Customize and personalize this microsite with their interests and their friends’ interests using live Facebook integration and Twitter feeds.
  • Keep information current.  Manage content and video to keep prospects coming back for news and fresh information.

Social Search incorporates a number of key components aligned to the way today’s millennials communicate. Social Search allows you to reach and interact with student prospects in the medium of their choice. Watch our video to learn more. Components include:

  • Admissions Microsite:  The Admissions Microsite is a subset of the college website developed specifically for student search visitors.  Visitors are redirected by a call to action contained in either an email, direct mail or mobile campaign.  The microsite features content based on what is known about the student and provides easy access to resources such as student ambassadors, financial aid calculators and more. Students can customize their personalized microsite to better fit their needs. Microsites are dynamically refreshed to ensure the most relevant possible content throughout the student engagement process. Additionally, visitors can directly access microsites via links on your website.
  • Facebook Integration:  Widgets can be inserted into email communications that provide students with the ability to click on the 'Like' option within their Facebook account.  Users can share web pages or contents of a page (such as information about upcoming events).  Certain widgets allow Facebook account users to see other friends who might already have “Liked” your college or university. In addition, links are available to our Event Manager’s registration page, enabling a refreshing stream of event content to the users Facebook page, which could also encourage viral spread of the information among Facebook Friends.  A countdown feature reminds the Facebook community of the time remaining until an upcoming event.
  • Student Scoring System:  A student scoring system is an easy addition to the database engine.  By assigning a score for diffeent types of interactions, you can target your outreach efforts to the hottst prospects.  AMM will work with you to create these metrics, which might have different values for a campus visit, a reply to a campaign or a phone call.
